Program Description
The program is designed to help tribal governments to develop or improve their ability to provide a program of vocational rehabilitation (VR) services for a culturally relevant way that American Indians with disabilities residing on or near federal or state reservations. The program aims to enable such persons, in line with their strengths, resources, priorities, concerns the skills, capabilities and informed choice, to prepare for and participate in gainful employment. Program services are offered an individual plan for employment and may include native healing services.
General Program Requirements
To qualify for this benefit program, you must be a Native American / American Indian, you have a disability and you must be enrolled in federally recognized Indian tribe or Alaskan native village.
