Program Description
Special Education Training and Information (PTI) Centers Program ensures that children with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities:
1. Receive training and information on their rights and the protection of persons with disabilities under the Education Act (IDEA)
2. Can effectively participate in planning and decision-making relating to early intervention, special education and transition services, including the development of individualized education programs (IEP)
General Program Requirements
To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a parent or primary caregiver of a child (clean) under 19 years. You must also be homeless / live in a shelter, or your child (own) must have a disability or special needs.
